MICHAEL PONZIANI

#67 BROTHER OVERLOAD

My name is Michael Ponziani. I am twenty-one years old. I was born in West Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. My hobbies are roller blading and paint games. I went to Lawrence County Vocational School where I majored in Marketing Education. Back home I was in the Volunteer Fire Department as well. In the Fire Department I was certified in basic fire fighting and vehicle rescue. I was also a member of DECA and VICA; in DECA I was the Chapter President for two years and State Representative for a year. In VICA I was Treasurer and Chapter President for a year. I received a scholarship from DECA. That is the biggest reason I came to Johnson & Wales University. Here I am enrolled in Advertising and I am a member of DECA. I hope to one day open my own ad agency. I chose the Omega Alpha Chapter of Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity because of the unity and closeness of the brothers. I would one day like to be a part of this organization..

CHRISTOPHER ROBERT MALLOZZI

#68 BROTHER COLOSSUS

My name is Christopher Robert Mallozzi. I was raised in Glencove Long Island, New York. I was born on March 11, 1980. I attended Bethpage High School where I majored in Culinary Arts. I also participated in many sports through out my years in high school. I wrestled for six years, played football for one year, baseball for one year and ran cross-country for one year. Some of my hobbies that I like to do are playing sports, and working with my hands. I have also worked in theconstruction business for eight years with my uncle. I am the only child in my family. I’m currently attending Johnson & Wales University where I major in their Culinary Arts program. I plan on staying for four years and then continuing on to receive my Master’s Degree. My future goal in life is to someday be a Master Chef and to own my own restaurant with my father.

The reason why I picked the Omega Alpha Chapter of Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity is because Ilike the brothers and the way that they treat each other, plus I like the way that they welcomed me into their house during Rush. I also chose them because I found out that they do a lot of community service projects around the city, and I found that to be a real good quality that no other organization was able to offer to me.

CHRISTOPHER OTTO SMITH

#69 BROTHER DEUCE

My name is Christopher Otto Smith. I was born on March 26, 1978 in Oneida, New York and I have lived there all of my life. I am the youngest member of my family and like all of them I graduated from Oneida Senior High School. I had two majors in high school, one being Music and the other being Culinary Arts. I participated in a number of organizations while in school such as the Drama Club, the Marching Band and V.I.C.A. In the Drama Club I held the position of lighting crew chief for two years, and in marching band I was a section leader for one year. I also participated in teaching elementary students to play the drums for six years. Now I am enrolled at Johnson & Wales University majoring in Culinary Arts. I am expected to graduate on May 23, 1999 with an Associate’s Degree in Culinary. Then I plan on continuing on with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.

The reason why I choose to pledge the Omega Alpha Chapter of Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity is because of the group’s closeness to each other including their pledges. I also picked TEP because I wanted to try something new but difficult that I could aim for as a goal.

CHARLES B. CERRETA III

#70 BROTHER LIONHEART

My name is Charles B. Cerreta III. All of my friends call me "Chuck". I am from Meriden Connecticut were I have lived all of my life. I am 18 years old and was born on May 21, 1980. I went to Xavier High School in Middletown Connecticut. There I played football, was a Peer Minister, and a member of the National Honors Society. I have done numerous community service projects and volunteer work in my spare time. I enjoy playing and watching contact sports, having fun with my friends, and having an overall great time. I see myself as a very friendly person who is always willing to lend a helping hand to others. I am always there for the people in my life to do whatever I can for them.

I chose to pledge the Omega Alpha Chapter of Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity because everything thatI have seen so far and been told about represents the same standards that I have for myself. In the future I hope to someday be a part of Tau Epsilon Phi.
