THE EPSILON CLASS

OF OMEGA ALPHA

INITIATED OCTOBER 31, 1997

HECTOR ESPINOSA, JR.

#51 BROTHER ODYSSEUS

My name is Hector Espinosa, Jr., I am 20 years old and a junior majoring in Hotel, Restaurant, Institutional Management. I am from Philadelphia, PA and proud of being 100% Puerto Rican.

I am writing to you, first of all to introduce myself, and second, to let you know that it was my complete pleasure, pledging the Omega Alpha Chapter of Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity. Whether it was chasing Jack (a pumpkin) down TEP Hill or learning the Greek Alphabet, I enjoyed every second of it.

Constantly during my process, I was asked by the brothers, "Why do you want to pledge TEP?" Personally, its because I love to be a part of something good with potential. TEP is exactly that. Good because there are brothers who really care about the fraternity and also because they accept me for who I am. I believe that there is also potential in TEP because of that reason. You are not made to be who you are not and as a result you have "REAL MEN" who become "REAL BROTHERS". That is what really attracted me to TEP. My nationality, background, and views was and still is appreciated.

Now that I have accepted the responsibility of being a brother of TEP, and I understand all of the rules and regulations, I plan to do the best in my ability to represent TEP in a positive light. Which only means living according to the three ideals of the Founders of our Fraternity, To LIVE in the light of friendship, To WALK In the path of chivalry, and To SERVE for the love of service and I will practice this each and everyday.
