OF OMEGA ALPHA
INITIATED FEBRUARY 15, 2008
MAXWELL DAVIS JR.
#117 BROTHER INEVITABLE
My name is Maxwell Davis Jr., I was born on April 9th 1989 in Providence, Rhode Island. I was raised in a town just outside of Providence called East Providence. My mother was always there for me, and I love her dearly for that. My father on the other hand wasn’t there for me. Through much of my life my father never showed an interest in the things I did. My step-father on the other hand showed interest in the things I did, but was always drunk and abusive toward my mother and I. I guess you could say I never had much of a father figure in life. This all changed once I entered high school and started playing football for Sandy Gorham. Coach Gorham was one of a kind he was the first person to show me what it took to be a winner and a leader. Because of this man I developed a “never quit” attitude. In my freshman and senior years under the guidance of Coach Gorham we won two State Championships in football. Freshman year we were undefeated. Senior year we only lost one game.
Currently, I have a 3.16 GPA and my major is Business Administration. My decision to come to Johnson & Wales was a drawn out process. My father wanted me to go to URI and become a third generation legacy of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. Whereas, my mother wanted me to go to the most affordable college of my choice, considering the fact that money has always been tight. But one day an amazing thing happened. Through the introduction of Rhyan Cyr, I met the brothers of Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity. I started to come to rush events by the summer going into my senior year of high school. Automatically, I clicked with a number of the brothers and couldn’t wait to get to college and pledge TEPhi. The rest is history.
As far as what I bring to TEP... I feel that the value of me to the fraternity is endless and essential. No one can top my motivation, intelligence, and confidence. I was made a leader by my old football coach and would like to lead the future of this fraternity to glory. The Chi Class is by far the cream of the 2011 class’s crop. We will succeed as a fraternity and I will do my best to insure a successful future for the Omega Alpha Chapter of Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity.
JOSEPH GRISKEWICZ JR.
#118 BROTHER STAND-UP
(BIOGRAPHY NO LONGER AVAILABLE) J. BARTON #119 BROTHER RAMBO KHAKALI OLENJA #120 BROTHER ROC-A-FELLA My name is Khakali Olenja, I was born July 21, 1989 at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, MA. I am currently attending Johnson & Wales University and loving it. Before I came to Johnson & Wales University I attended Marian High School were I played baseball for four years. I was also Vice President on Student Council for three years. Going to a private school helped me break out of my shell and learn how to meet new people from all over. MARK ROY JR. #121 BROTHER INVINCIBLE My name is Mark Roy Jr. and I was born on August 24, 1989 at Emerson Hospital in Concord Massachusetts. I grew up in Westminster, a small town in northwestern Massachusetts with my mother, father and my little sister. I spent most of my time racing motocross in the summer and snowboarding in the winter. In 2005 I won an Amateur Championship in New England which motivated me to step up to the professional level. When I am not at Johnson & Wales I live in Milford, MA; what I like to consider the "Boondocks of Mass". I live with my mother and sister. My mother works very hard to raise me and my sister and put us through private schools. I believe that watching my mother struggle helped me mold into the man I am today. My sister is a sophomore in high school where she is a three sport athlete and is a very driven student. Without these people in my life I would not be the person I am today
When I came to Johnson & Wales University I was a little nervous, but knew I wanted to join a Greek Organization. I did take a look at all the organization on campus, but one group of men seemed to stick out more then any other organization. The brothers of Tau Epsilon Phi are the guys I continued to hang out with on a consistant basis and soon realized that this group of guys had something special. They were not going for numbers or were not wearing letters just for the hell of it. They actually had ideals that they lived by and now they have given me an opportunity to make them proud of me and making them proud is what I will do.
In September of 2007 I arrived at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI to pursue a degree in Computerized Drafting. In 2011 I hope to graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Engineering Design & Configuration Management.
Going Greek never crossed my mind until I arrived on campus. I met a couple of the brothers through my Pledge Brother “KK” and I haven’t turned back since. I am honored to be a part of an organization as successful as Tau Epsilon Phi and look forward to contribute my best efforts towards the Omega Alpha Chapter.
