JOHNATHAN E. SONGER
#145 BROTHER ADRASTOS

I’m Johnathan Eugene Songer and I was born in Berrien Springs, Michigan. I moved to Connecticut at the age of 2 and my hometown is currently Wallingford, CT about an hour and a half away from Providence. As of right now I am a youngin’ at the age of 18 and I’m a freshman. I have a beautiful mother named BrendaLee and a beautiful sister named Cassie who has been nothing but perfect to me for the past years of my life.
All throughout high school, I was a varsity athlete in football and basketball so I knew the basics about what it meant to have a Brotherhood and what it meant to drop what you were doing for a “Brother” and “teammate.” I’ve always valued the gift of friendship. I’ve always enjoyed the company of people that I could call my friends. It’s even better when I can chill around a group of men that I could one day call “My Brothers”. To me, a fraternity is much more than what the average person may perceive. It is a lifelong connection to the Brothers you have grown to love. To give that up would be like giving up on me. I hope to take the path and ensure Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity’s importance will be preserved for countless classes to come.

ANDREW J. SHARP
#146 BROTHER SIORAI

My name is Andrew James Sharp, I am 20 years old and I am from Webster, New York. I was born on January 18th 1990. I have lived in the same house in Webster my whole life. My family and I are very close. My mother Cecelia and my father John have always been there for my older brother Chris and me. My brother and I are very close and always have been there for each other, that is why we decided to get matching tattoos together this past summer. It was something that we always wanted to do and I believe it made us even closer.
I am now a junior here at Johnson & Wales University and I am currently working on by Bachelors degree in the Culinary Arts Food Service Management program. I already have my Associates degree in Culinary Arts from JWU. When I first came to this school I had no thoughts or interests in joining Greek life. But after meeting the Brother of Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity my entire perception changed. One of the main things that I saw and anyone else can see is that the Brothers of TEP are extremely close. That closeness reminds me of my family. I knew that this was an organization that I wanted to be a part of. Also the ideals that this fraternity was founded on are things that I hold very dear to my heart. That is why I want to be able to wear their letters and call these men “My Brothers”.

THOMAS J. CANTERINO
#147 BROTHER HELIOS

My name is Thomas John Canterino and I am 19 years old. I am from Goshen, New York where I was born in Orange County. I live with both of my parents and they have been blessed with being very successful in business. My mother’s name is Charisse and my father’s name is Michael. I have one older brother named Michael as well who is 22 and he is one of my best friends. He graduated from the University of Connecticut with a 4-year degree in physiology. Both of my parents are still together and they just celebrated their 25th anniversary and are still going strong. Having problems within the past year has made for some hard times but hard times have only made my family stronger. My mother is an owner of many childcare centers in the tri-state New York area and my father is the president of Remee Products, which is the leading Wire and Cable Company in the United States.
I am 100% Italian from both Rome and Naples, Italy. I love my Italian culture and I love the strong bond that my family has. We are the typical huge, loud, Italian family that does everything big. I love my whole family from my brother to my 3rd cousin, we all have such a strong bond and without family I am not sure where I would be today.
Growing up I was the captain of the varsity ski team in 8th grade; I played track and field and was captain for 2 years. I also was the Technical Director for the high school musicals for 3 years, controlling all of the functions from backstage to all motion lights.
In coming to Johnson & Wales University I honestly had no intention of joining Greek life, but my roommates were extremely interested and they introduced me to the Brothers. After being with different Brothers everyday I started to grow a bond with them and I knew I could trust them. I choose Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity because the bond I have with the Brothers became strong and I wanted to show them everything I have to offer.

STEPHEN C. BATTLE
#148 BROTHER ROOK

My name is Stephen Christopher Battle, I am 20 years old and I am currently a freshman transfer student at Johnson & Wales University. My main course of study is Culinary Arts and I hope to eventually have a concentration in both Nutrition and Food Service Management. I am originally from North Royalton, Ohio; it is about 14 minutes from Cleveland, Ohio. I have two older brothers who are 7 and 10 years older than me; my middle brother Jesse has always been a role model for me and a source of inspiration for me to be successful in my life. My mother Cynthia is everything to me and I would do anything for her no matter what. My father William has also given me some of the greatest advice I could ever ask for, and has helped me shape into the best man I can be in life. My friends and family mean everything to me and I wouldn’t be anywhere close to where I am today without them.
I have always been involved in sports and organizations throughout my life and being around all the Brothers in TEP makes me feel like I’m right at home. I believe fully in every facet of what the fraternity believes in, Friendship, Chivalry and Service have always been the three main focuses in my life and it is amazing that this organization believes completely in those ideals. I know that one day, I will help make this fraternity greater than what it already is and I will do everything in my power to ensure that the Omega Alpha Chapter of Tau Epsilon Phi will stay the best fraternity on campus.

DAVID A. MILITE, JR.
#150 BROTHER TURTLE

My name is David Andrew Milite, Jr. I am 18 years old and I was born on July 24, 1992 in Danbury, Connecticut. I have lived in Connecticut my entire life. I lived in Waterbury for eleven years, Middlebury for two years and, my family currently resides in Thomaston where we have lived for the past six years. My father’s name is David, Sr. and my mother’s name is Kim. My brother Nick is two years younger than me. I am very close to my mom, dad and brother and love them very much. My family and friends mean everything to me and they have always been there for me and I am there for them when they need me no matter what. My grandmother meant the world to me and I could always talk to her no matter what. Sadly, she passed away from cancer in 2007. That was a very hard time in my life and in my family’s life. I miss her and love her very much and I know she watches down on my family and I every day as our guardian angel.
I graduated from a private catholic high school named Holy Cross High School. I played Football, Wrestling and Track and Field for all four years of high school. I was the Senior Captain of the Wrestling and Track Team. I had gotten 6th place in the state tournament for wrestling and ended the season 34-6 in the 189 lb weight class. In Track and Field I competed in the Discus, Shot put and Javelin. I received All-City for Discus and made the state tournament for Shot put. My family always pushed me to do well and try my hardest in whatever I attempted to do, whether it was sports, academics, or anything else. They were always my biggest fans and went to all of my games and meets. I love sports and music; they are my two favorite hobbies.
I am a currently a freshman at Johnson & Wales University and I am majoring in Sports, Entertainment and Event Management. When I first came to school I never really thought about going Greek. The first day of school I met up with one of my friends that I had met at orientation; John Songer. He was with his two roommates, Tom Canterino and Eric Nguyen. That night we went to a party at the TEP House and met a couple of the Brothers. Ever since then we hung out with the Brothers almost every weekend. It was at this point that I witnessed the relationship that all the Brothers had with each other. It’s like they have known each other for their whole lives. I want to be a part of Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity because I value what they represent "friendship, chivalry and service". Also I feel that I can help take the fraternity to its highest level of excellence.

ALDJY F. SAJOUS
#151 BROTHER DEDIKASYON

Haiti, September 20, 1989 it was a Thursday night. The street was calm and everything seemed quiet. A married couple named Rona and Gracia Sajous was enjoying their night. Their daughter Staica, 3 years old and their son Jean, 2 years old were already in bed. Rona, was pregnant and expecting her newborn in a few days. But, she was wrong. While she was lying down she had some bad pains and was rushed to the hospital, at 7 pm that night, there was excitement, joy and happiness for the family as their newborn entered the world...
21 years later, here I am writing to you about my life. Hello, my name is Aldjy Floran Sajous. I am the youngest in my family. My family means the world to me and I would do everything and anything to make them happy and proud of me. I love to draw, play video games, going out, making friends and traveling. I spent most of my life in Haiti. At 16 years old due to some family problems I left Haiti and move to the United States. With French and Creole as my first two languages, it was hard for me to communicate and adapt myself to this new culture my first year in the US. I spent one year in Florida and then move to Cape Cod, MA where I completed my high school education and then two years of Community College before I transferred to Johnson & Wales University to continue my studies in Hospitality and Travel Tourism. After I complete this degree, I plan to pursue my study as a nurse since it’s has always been my dream to follow in my sister and my brother’s footstep. I was excited to get transferred to JWU so that I could experience college life and also the city. But, it was more than that, I wanted to make new friends and meet new people. My first trimester wasn’t exciting since I didn’t have friends and I lived off campus. Everything changed for me when I met Brandon, a Brother of TEP Fraternity. Brandon told me about TEP and I was curious to learn more about this new opportunity to make friends and get socially involve. I hung out a few days with Brandon and the other Brothers and I was extremely amazed to see how fun and nice they are. I then made my choice to join and I am happy with it. It feels good to be joining this great organization.
Please take a moment to sign our guestbook.
