DREW STEVEN BIANCO
#156 - BROTHER SHADDAI
My name is Drew Steven Bianco and I was born on July 10th, 1993. I was raised in Marlboro, New York and I am currently studying Sports Entertainment and Event Management at Johnson & Wales University. I have two loving parents, Laura and Steve Bianco. I have an older brother, Lucas, who is 22, and a younger sister, Aubrey, who is 16.
From a very young age sports have always been a big part in my life. I played basketball through my freshman year of high school. I also played soccer and baseball through my senior year. Baseball was definitely my strong point. I got all I could ask for my last season as I was made Captain and one of the top performers on the team. I have also been skiing since I was 5 years old and I could do it every day of my life.
Last March I lost a friend and classmate to a rare soft-tissue cancer. Growing up with her and then watching her go through a two year battle made me think, “How would I handle myself in a situation like that?” It really changed the way I looked at life.
As I entered JWU I knew absolutely no one and had no idea what a fraternity was about. As I met more people I started getting to know the Brothers of Tau Epsilon Phi. They were some of the most down- to-earth people I’ve ever met. After meeting the rest of the Brothers I knew that TEP was a great fit for me.
MICHAEL N. LANDRY
#157 - BROTHER NEMESTRINUS
My name is Michael N. Landry. I was born in Hanover, New Hampshire. I spent the first part of my life split between two different towns, White River, Vermont and Springfield, New Hampshire. During the winters and school season my mother, Michelle Landry, worked as a teacher and my father, Richard Landry, worked as a mortician. But when the summer came my mother would take my sister Emily and I to a lake house during the summer months. As I got older my parents decided that they needed to cut back on the amount of work that they were doing and move more out into the country, so, in 2000, I moved to Tunbridge, Vermont; a town with a total population of 1200 people. There I spent the rest of my life up through high school.
I went to a very small independent high school called The Sharon Academy. There I completed a wide range of community service projects including a project that was highlighted in the local news paper, a sledding party that raised money for a local food bank. I also participated in varsity sports from my freshman year on where I learned the value of teamwork and brotherhood.
When I came to Johnson & Wales University I had no interest in Greek Life what so ever. However on Freshman Move In Day one of the Brothers from Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity helped me move in all of my stuff. I started to hang out with the Brothers and quickly became interested in Greek Life. I envied the bond that the Brothers have with one another because it’s so genuine. After a little more looking into TEP it became clear that I wanted to become a part of this Brotherhood.
GARY A. MONNECKA
#158 - BROTHER SPARK-PLUG
My name is Gary A. Monnecka and I am a freshman Culinary Arts major. I am 18 years old, straight out of Oakland, New Jersey. Oakland is a small-sized town and I was anxious to leave it for the excitement of a city like Providence. The most bittersweet part of this change was leaving my 3 little sisters, my dog and my parents behind. My parents divorced when I was 5; however they truly love me and support me in all my endeavors including my interest in Greek Life.
Once I got my acceptance letter to Johnson & Wales University I looked on the Greek Life page on the school's website and found Tau Epsilon Phi's web site. I promptly read through all their info and knew I wanted to rush them almost immediately. It wasn't until halfway through my senior year that I decided not to try to join after hearing stories. Once I got to school however I went to the Greek Info Night and I was once again interested. I met Andrew Sharp and he introduced me to the Brothers and I was absolutely thrilled with my experience, especially how interested even the upperclassmen were in me and what my interests are and my life story. Me and my roommate Mike; and one of our best friends, Tanner, decided that nothing would make us happier than to get a chance to pledge the fraternity that gave me some of the best friends I've had in my life, in just a few months. We were all enamored with the thought of being able to be a part of this great tight-knit Brotherhood that treated us as friends instead of just freshmen.
Now, Tanner, Mike and I are following our new goal which is to be accepted into Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity. If accepted, I think I can bring a fun-loving yet caring personality to the Brotherhood along with a genuine love for community service and just helping people whenever I can.
RAYMOND D. BRANCO
#159 - BROTHER EMBER
Hello my name is Raymond D. Branco and I was born on December 12th, 1993. I live in East Providence, Rhode Island. My mother and father are Laurie and Raymond Branco. I’m the middle child of three; I have an older sister named Brittany and a younger brother named Aaron. My family is really close; I and my siblings are only a year apart so we get along pretty well for the most part. Also a big part of my family is my dogs Simba, Scooby-Sue and Maxamillion.
The high school I attended was East Providence High School. Sports are a very important part of my life. I’ve been playing baseball, basketball, soccer and football since I was seven years old. I like hanging out with my friends on a everyday basis or weekly basis depending on what’s going on. I’m an outgoing person and willing to meet new people.
I’m a freshman at Johnson & Wales University and majoring in Sports Entertainment and Event Management. I got interested in Greek Life at orientation; a kid I met during that time was from the same hometown of one of the Brothers in Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity. So the night after orientation he asked me to come to a party because he knew I lived in East Providence. So I said yea and that is where I met John Songer and Tom Canterino. We exchanged numbers and that’s when Tom asked me if I was interested in Greek Life. I didn’t know what I wanted at that time till we started to chill and talk a lot and I got really enthusiastic about Tau Epsilon Phi. I met some of the fellow Brothers and made a bond with them. That’s where my journey started and from that moment on I have been dedicated to becoming a Brother of Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity.
BENJAMIN J. SIEGEL
#160 - BROTHER PATRIOT
My name is Benjamin John Siegel and I’m currently a freshman at Johnson & Wales University. I am studying Criminal Justice. I was born on September 20, 1993 in New York City. I am the middle child in my family with an older brother named Sam and a younger sister named Annie. My parents divorced when I was six and my brother, sister and I moved with my mother to the small beach town of Monmouth Beach, New Jersey. I have lived there ever since and I am proud to call it my home. My family has had some great and terrible times in New Jersey, but it has overall shaped my siblings and I into very great people.
Growing up I was always a very social person. I always had many friends and generally knew everyone around town. In high school I had such a close group of friends that I would do and still will do anything for. My experiences with them helped me shape my beliefs in loyalty and friendship.
When I first came to Johnson & Wales University I had absolutely no intentions on joining Greek Life. The first day however I met Phil D’Achille, one of the current Brothers of Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity. I instantly became friends with him because of how similar we were as people. When he decided to pledge for TEP, I myself became very curious about joining. When he became a Brother, Phil brought me around to meet some of the other Brothers and I was amazed at how friendly they were. I remember thinking how every stereotype of a fraternity or what some call a “frat” was in no way represented in TEP.
I know that if I join TEP that I can help promote every ideal that it represents because these are the ideals that I came to Johnson & Wales with. Also I would contribute as much I as I receive from each Brother and the fraternity as a whole.
TANNER JOSEPH BONSIE
#161 - BROTHER ORPHEUS
Greetings, my name is Tanner Joseph Bonsie. I am from the little dot on the map in New York called Sherburne; it’s that famous town with one stop light. I was born on March 25, 1993 to my wonderful parents Michael and Julie. Sadly, they were divorced when I was five years old but later my mom re-married to my step father Brian. So being a part of two Italian families you can imagine is a pretty large family. I have two brothers Steve and Adam. Adam is my actual brother he is only five, but Steve is nineteen and although he is not blood related he has been a part of my family for almost ten years. But my family is the main thing in my life; they back me up even if they don’t agree. And that’s what makes us so close.
One big view and determination in my life is getting rid of discrimination against individualism. And when I first met the Brothers I was kind of nervous how I would be treated due to my appearance but the brothers where interested in them and asked questions. I have always been the kid that stuck out because I love being different and unique. Music is a big part of my life and I like all kinds of music from hard core to classic and hip-hop. I love to cook, play drums, video games, and also I like all forms of art. I want to either own my own restaurant or catering company someday and maybe a piercing parlor.
I am a freshman majoring in Culinary Arts; I never really considered joining a fraternity. Movies pretty much just ruined the name of them. But after meeting a few of the Brothers of Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity and seeing how they cared and tried to personally know me was warming. Also my step father was in a fraternity and seeing how close he got with his brothers opened my eyes. I knew I wanted to be a Brother of TEP with these honorable devoted men. I would be honored to join and help this wonderful organization live long and prosper.
Please take a moment to sign our guestbook.
